Meeting the needs of customers in their local markets is a key factor of COINS’ success, as illustrated by a brief survey of recent global OA projects.
CCC Group, Inc., an ENR Top 400 contractor providing construction services throughout the U.S. and in select foreign markets, is running successful projects in Jamaica, Suriname, and Colombia on COINS OA. According to James Deaven, Controller of CCC Group, ‘We chose COINS OA over other software because of its multicurrency support, which is required for our international projects. For example our staff in Jamaica processes payroll and invoices in Jamaica dollars yet we can automatically see US dollars on management reports. The Web interface means that we can access COINS anywhere in the world, roviding the same powerful tools and information to all f our people.’
Ian Williams Group, a leading UK roperty services company, is mplementing COINS OA across its operations. David Sewell, Finance Director for Ian Williams, states ‘COINS demonstrates the advantages of adopting a standard integrated approach, and the company fits well as a strategic partner. Our agreement maps out the next seven years, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we are with COINS in fifteen years time!’ COINS OA will handle Ian Williams’ financial and management accounting, procurement, and commercial requirements. The system also includes COINS Electronic Trading Community (COINSetc), web-based document management, workflow, and several client-focused solutions and integrations.
Downer EDI Engineering, a division of Downer EDI Group and one of Australia’s largest providers of engineering and infrastructure services, has grown rapidly since it became a COINS user in May 2002. Currently, Downer EDI Engineering is implementing the latest COINS technologies and gradually bringing all its business sectors on to the COINS Open Architecture (OA) platform. Michelle Rouillon, COINS Project Team Downer comments ‘Having all business operations on the COINS OA platform will improve our processes and give us better management tools across the business, including Business Intelligence and Reporting. The buy-in and participation from the business sectors has been an important factor for the success of this rollout, with planned completion by mid-2010. Management reporting has already improved.’
Ohio-based Rieck Services is constantly striving for innovation and improvement, with superior customer service the main success driver for this 117-year old service business. Rieck chose to implement COINS OA because it is focused around solutions to help the company build and grow on this success. Steven Fabrigar, Rieck’s Business Applications Manager, says ‘The project is going very well. And that is saying a lot since we have high expectations from our COINS software.’ Thanks to input from Steven and others at Rieck, enhancements to Facilities Management, Mobile Technician and Document Management will benefit all COINS clients.
Murray Company of Rancho Dominguez, California, is the latest addition to the COINS OA family. The Murray Company’s California joint venture company went live with COINS OA on July 1st. The Murray Company chose COINS OA because they required an ERP system with three crucial features to meet its growing needs: browser-based, fully integrated, with high level business intelligence. Rick Stafford, Murray’s President/CFO, spoke about his staff’s eagerness for COINS OA: ‘We have a great comfort level with the software thanks to implementation and training, both on-site and by video conferencing. The rapport and collaborative effort between the Murray and COINS project teams is great. We have had a chance to suggest product improvements, and we all have come to a greater understanding of business best practices.’ |
