The COINS Foundation continues to support CARE International in 2008.  CARE International is a leading humanitarian aid agency, working to fight poverty and injustice in 70 countries around the world, helping 48 million people each year. CARE believes passionately in the dignity of all people and makes a long term commitment to tackle the deep-seated root causes of poverty. They deal with complex issues like HIV & AIDS and conflict – issues that do not have a quick fix solution and are also among the first to respond when disaster strikes. 

The  specific focus of the COINS Foundation with CARE is the support of a project to build community schools for orphaned and vulnerable children in Zambia. With funds raised from the 2007 event we were able to ‘restrict’ some of the funds raised to focus solely on the construction and support of six new schools.
