COINS clients from around the United States gathered at the Marriott Renaissance Waterfront in Boston on November 9-11, 2009 for “Changing the Game”- COINS Conference 2009. With more than forty sessions spread over three days, the agenda was packed with showcases, workshops, and explore sessions covering Human Resources, Payroll, Facilities and Service Management, Procure to Pay, Business Intelligence & Data Marts, Emerging Technologies, Project Management, IT/System Administration, and more. Larry Sullivan, Chairman of COINS, in his keynote presentation explored the global economy and the impact on the construction industry, taking a measured but optimistic view that whilst the economic landscape has changed forever, great companies can and do emerge from recessionary times. Larry went on to explain how COINS aims to work with its clients in a way that works toward contracting to business outcomes, and closed by touching on the work and thinking behind the COINS Foundation.
The conference explored the unique approach COINS takes to meeting customer business requirements through a complete solution that combines world-class software, domain and technology expertise and development partnership. Feedback was very positive, with high praise for COINS presenters, requests for repeat sessions, and suggestions for follow up meetings in person or by follow up online webinars. Fred Cook, Vice President/CFO of Burch Corporation praised the conference, saying ‘The flexibility and scope of the COINS product was impressive and with what I learned from the conference we are now able to step back and assess where the greatest business value can be gained and start to explore and deploy the new OA product.’
