COINS HR at Ian Williams As part of its rollout of COINS ERP, one of the UK's leading property services companies, Ian Williams Group, has replaced a specialist HR package with COINS HR, an integral component of the COINS ERP platform. Claire Elston, Human Resources Manager at Ian Williams, states: "COINS HR is easier to use and offers much greater power when getting at data compared with the specific HR package it replaced". "COINS HR is helping to manage full personnel details for 850 employees, with varying job titles, job categories, payroll cycles and benefits, including 25 starters and leavers per month, in other words 300 new employee records added per annum. We can retain data on former employees for as long as we like, which is helpful in cases where someone re-joins or applies elsewhere within the organisation at a some point in the future", Claire continues. In addition to the basic personnel data, COINS HR is used to maintain records of Appraisals, Training and Development, including qualifications and professional memberships, to support the company's stated objectives. COINS HR also enables Claire's team to manage salary history, timekeeping, holidays, absence, disciplinary, grievances and accident records. Claire continues: "As an integral part of COINS ERP, the HR system automatically links to other modules, such as Payroll so that employee data only needs to be entered once and into either module, and Fixed Assets so you can allocate equipment to employees in HR, such as company cars, computers, etc, allowing you to keep a track of what company property employees have." "I particularly like that we can generate reports from any workbench within the COINS HR system and that all reports can be viewed as PDF or exported to Excel. The Personnel statistics available, such as employee turnover, ethnicity, gender/age breakdown, etc, are also very useful. I like the flexibility we have where the system allows you to set up your own categories and codes, such as job titles, leaving reasons, appraisal reasons, absence reasons, and so on." |
