| Back | Simon joined COINS in 2005 after six years with Rialto Homes where he led the successful COINS software solutions implementation, replacing the legacy structure and providing a platform on which to support robust business processes. As COINS Director of Business Consulting, Simon has successfully introduced a new consultative approach that focuses on the partnership between COINS and its clients, building strong long-term relationships. Simon explains ‘We concentrate on understanding each client’s objectives, identifying relevant solutions to meet these objectives and putting together the right team to deliver; it’s about what’s right for the client and its business infrastructure. Clients are making significant investments and we want to be sure that we work together to define and implement solutions which support sound business processes and strategy whilst giving a return on investment through resource savings and cost efficiencies.’ Simon comments ‘Having been a client of COINS was a huge benefit, because I had a broad perspective of the issues and influences that can affect the client decisionmaking process and had experience of finding ways to circumvent these issues and still deliver the objectives.’ Simon enjoys an active outdoor life and has just supported one of the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge teams. Asked what his personality brings to his role at COINS, Simon answers ‘A sense of humour, honesty and an enjoyment of working as a team.’ This is a combination that offers great foundations for building effective and trusting working relationships with clients.
