Established 1860, Killby & Gayford has recently seen some dramatic changes.

Following a management buy out last year led by Chris Chivers the CEO and Jeremy Vickers, FD, the new Management Team quickly recognised an urgent need for more timely operations information to help staff do their jobs better – Killby & Gayford has an unusually high level of long-term employees coupled with a reputation and company ethos for exceeding client’s expectations and developing and supporting their staff.

K & G evaluated several candidate suppliers leading up to their selection of COINS to supply their core system. Jeremy Vickers explained that: ‘We felt COINS understood our business culture and would keep us in our key objective of making sure our customers are satisfied and happy.’

Chris Chivers described the issue as follows: ‘We wanted a joined-up solution whereby people put their data in once for the benefit of others in the business, everything is integrated and information is at people’s finger-tips when they want it. Our strap-line here is integrated construction solutions and we wanted to find a system that epitomises this approach.’

Killby & Gayford is a £90 million contractor based in Clapham, London with regional offices in Billericay, Essex and Cambridge. It is a company which specialises in complex, high quality fit-out and restoration projects as well as a number of high security facilities.
