Over the past eighteen months, COINS has been working with the award-winning Isle of Man based Dandara Group to develop a new Residential/Commercial Lettings module that can either work alongside the well established House Sales module or run independently.

The module comprises two main components. A database management system records details of prospects, landlords, tenants, lettings contracts, and all related information. A set of financial ledgers supports the collection of rents, fees, sundry charges and payments to landlords.

The Dandara Group delivers high quality residential and commercial properties throughout the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Dandara offers a number of key services to property investors, including a dedicated investment team, tenant finding service, property management, and furnishing.

To support this strategy the Dandara Group operates a residential lettings business. The decision was taken to implement a business systems solution for the lettings operation that allowed integration with the COINS financial ledgers already in use across other parts of the business.

Dandara commenced live use of the database management system in 2008 and has recently started implementation of the new lettings financial ledgers and billing solution. Dandara Group Financial Director, Gary Leeming commented: ‘The new COINS module provides our business with comprehensive access to property, tenant

The Accounts package is just coming on line and is expected to be successful in providing further time savings, improved accuracy, payment tracking and further enhancing the service we provide to our landlords.’
