Royalton's Fingertip Project Control |

| Back | Royalton overcame ongoing project costing and management control issues when, in September 2008, the decision was taken to invest in COINS Financials, Procurement, and Valuations & Automated Payments. Royalton required the ability to closely monitor the profitability of each project until its completion, to be able to record costs against projects and to have clear visibility of invoice status and order commitment. Previously Royalton had to rely on manual interventions and lengthy processes to meet these fundamental business requirements. Royalton now has complete visibility of each project’s status with on-demand, real-time tracking of all aspects granting far greater budget and management control. After only three months, Royalton is already benefiting from improved business processes and efficiencies as John O’Reilly, Financial Director at Royalton, comments ‘We can track invoices on the system, including sign-off status, and the flexible reporting enables me to view in real-time our commitment to specific orders, by project, and our weekly spend liability. Manual processes, such as payments, are now fully automated and can be run by project.’ John continues ‘Going live as quickly as possible was fundamental to our decision to invest in COINS. This was a very smooth implementation, which started in the first week of September. Led by two highly experienced project managers, we met our December deadline ahead of schedule and under budget.’ Royalton will continue to work with COINS on the implementation of the Land Appraisal module that will enable comparison and visibility of actual and viability values, allowing more accurate financial forecasts in he future.
