The Sammon Group Awards €200k IT Services Contract to COINS

€200k contract is part of €1m spend on IT infrastructure to support the company’s expansion into the Middle East

The Sammon Group, one of Ireland’s leading contracting companies operating in Ireland, Europe and the Middle East with specialist expertise in delivering educational and social infrastructure projects, today announced that it has awarded a €200k contract to IT services provider COINS, to support the company’s expansion into the Middle East. The Sammon Group has operations in Ireland, United Kingdom, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The company’s founder, Miceal  Sammon, is a nominee in this year’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

Since its formation in 1986, led by its founders, Miceal   and Cathy Sammon, the Group has established itself as the pre-eminent provider of social infrastructure and has been experiencing strong growth in recent years. To support this growth, the group continues to invest substantially in technology and after a rigorous selection process, has selected the COINS ERP platform as the key business system solution to be implemented across all operations.

In 2007, The Sammon Group embarked on an ambitious strategy to establish an international presence in the Middle East. The group is now firmly established as one of the largest providers of education infrastructure in this region and continues to grow and expand into other sectors including design, manufacture and delivery of high quality hotel interiors, office fit out and retail fit out. The Group continues to achieve impressive growth in the Irish Market in 2011, notwithstanding the difficult economic conditions.

The corporate strategy over the next three years will see the group entering new markets whilst continuing to grow in existing markets. This strategy will be supported by the innovative, rapid-build solutions that the Group offers its clients.
