Construction Industry Solutions (COINS) Announces Support for Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007

COINS Framing Works with Autodesk's Leading Design Software to Provide an Integrated Framing Solution for the Timber and Lightweight Steel Markets.

Berkshire, UK – April 12, 2006 – COINS today announced support for Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007, the AutoCAD software-based, architectural design application from Autodesk, Inc., the world's leading software and services company for the building, manufacturing, infrastructure, media and entertainment, and wireless data services fields.

Autodesk Architectural Desktop provides an unrivalled platform that has allowed COINS to deliver a fully integrated framing solution for both metric and imperial markets – producing sophisticated timber and lightweight steel framing models for walls, floors, and roofs – together with optimized material take-off, and full production of manufacturing drawings. Autodesk Architectural Desktop has all of the power of AutoCAD, plus easy to use features for architectural drafting and design that can be learned and utilized at the user’s own pace.

COINS Framing fully embraces the new Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007 functionality, including its immediate productivity benefits and its greater flexibility. The maturity of Autodesk Architectural Desktop, together with the years of industry experience at COINS, has created a powerful yet easy to use solution that uses industry standard rules to provide superior solutions.

"By integrating with the latest features in Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007, COINS enables our joint customers to take advantage of the latest design software technology," said Jim Lynch, vice president of marketing for Autodesk’s Building Solutions Division. "We are pleased to have the strong support of COINS products for Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007.”

“COINS values its long-term relationship with Autodesk,” says Sharon Lechon, vice-president of COINS US. “We believe that the combined COINS-Autodesk solution is key to the success of the framing market by driving down design-to-manufacture time and providing accurate material lists. This has been a driving force for customers such as Centex Homes to roll the software out across all of their design offices in the US.”
