COINS receives official recognition from HMRC for CIS 2007

COINS is among the first software packages to receive official Internet Recognition from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for new CIS.

This recognition was granted on 7th September 2006 following testing of the electronic submission of subcontractor verification requests and monthly returns from COINS to HMRC via the Government Gateway.

Development started over a year ago to ensure the software would be ready well before the new scheme comes into effect on 6th April 2007.  COINS clients will all receive the new CIS software as part of a standard upgrade.  The CIS functionality is fully integrated into COINS and includes automated conversion of details for existing subcontractors.

HMRC will be speaking at the COINS Conference in October, which will also provide an opportunity for clients to see the new software in operation.  By working together with HMRC and with the Business Application Software Developers Association (BASDA), COINS has demonstrated market leadership in Construction Software once again.
