As COINS continues to grow as a business and the product portfolio continues to expand there is an ever-increasing demand by clients for expert support, development and consultancy services. COINS recognises that finding and developing new construction and IT talent is critical to enabling clients to leverage maximum business benefits from their COINS software. To fulfil this demand COINS has put in place and has been successfully implementing a robust graduate recruitment process. As an organisation COINS’ success is based on the quality of its people, so the process is rigorous in identifying and recruiting only the very brightest and best from an initial wide sweep of available graduates in IT, Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, Construction Management, Accountancy, Business and Marketing from the top universities including Cambridge, London, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton and Reading. Assessment centres are designed to identify only the highest calibre candidates for trainee roles in Support, Development and Consultancy. Of the initial applicants, the three highest quality candidates have already joined COINS. They have begun a programme of on the job coaching in their specific roles, as well as becoming quickly involved directly with clients to gain an understanding of client and industry specific requirements. Regular appraisal and mentoring processes led by experienced COINS personnel will over time ensure that the quality, skill set and number of our existing 2200+ years of construction IT expertise will continue to grow. The recruitment process is ongoing in the UK, supplemented by a similar process in the COINS Development Centre in St. Petersburg, Russia for graduates to join the 50+ PhD’s and Masters already employed there. |
