  SembCorp go live with COINS

SembCorp Design and Construction, a leading utilities and marine group in Asia, have successfully gone live with COINS, including modules such as Financials, Procurement and Asset Register.  Implementation of COINS Valuations (Site Manager) is scheduled to be completed later this year.

Lim Kah Hing, Managing Director of SembCorp, states:

“I would like to express my thanks to COINS for the comprehensive methodology by which they have implemented COINS.  Special thanks go to Steve Jones, Project Manager, Narelle Shipley, Senior Consultant, for all the hard work she has put into the implementation, setup and training, and recent support from Mike Shaw, Consultant.

We had a very challenging task in that we had to implement an integrated solution for our construction business as speedily as possible.  Within 3 months of signing the contract with COINS, the core functionality of COINS Financials and Procurement went live.  This has been a good example of teamwork between COINS and the SembCorp in achieving the objective.

Our prime reason for selecting COINS as our solution was due to the fact that they are totally focussed on the construction industry and that it is a proven product, having been implemented in numerous construction and property development companies worldwide over many years.  As a result, the COINS team have an excellent understanding of the construction industry which we found to be extremely useful and helpful in enhancing some of our business processes.

We see the benefits of using COINS as being a single integrated solution that will deliver information from one integrated source.  We will be able to derive accurate and timely delivery of information to drive our business forward and thus improve efficiency and future cost savings.  This will assist us to achieve our financial goals and provide a more efficient service to our clients.”
