The COINS General Ledger Module is designed specifically for construction companies to summarize company-wide financial information and includes intercompany accounting and reporting capabilities. Accurate and timely financial information about your company helps you make intelligent financial decisions. Information from other COINS modules automatically updates the General Ledger, which means minimal direct input from your staff. It provides financial statements on a monthly basis, and you can produce interim statements as needed. Built-in controls ensure the accuracy of the information in the general ledger and agreement between General Ledger and other modules. COINS General Ledger gives you important flexibility in examining your business. For example, you can handle completed contracts or percentage-of-completion accounting, or both. You can also process financial information for more than one month at a time. Since you define the structure that will be used for the General Ledger accounts, you can capture and report information by divisions, departments, and/or profit centers. You set up your own financial statement definitions in COINS, so you have maximum control of the contents and formatting of financial statements. In addition, user-defined financial ratios can help you evaluate financial statement information. |
