COINS Australia Announced in Top Three for Employer of Choice Award
Construction Industry Solutions (COINS) Australia was recognised as one of the top three finalists for an Employer of Choice Award at the 2018 Women in Technology (WiT) Awards on Friday night, 14 September 2018.
The WiT Awards are the biggest and longest-running showcase of their kind in Australia, acknowledging young achievers at the start of their career in ICT or life sciences, to rising stars and industry leaders at the top of their field.
COINS Australia Managing Director Carla Wall said she was proud of the organisation’s significant achievements in the past year, including a 22 per cent increase in new business and securing one of the largest ERP solution deals available in the Australian market.
“A big part of my strategic focus for COINS Australia is to engage, develop and include all staff on the company’s growth journey,” Ms Wall said.
“It is incredibly important to me to support and attract women to the technology industry, and as such I have implemented initiatives that set benchmarks in talent management, develop organisational capability and promote flexible working arrangements.”
Since Ms Wall’s appointment as Managing Director, more than half the COINS Australia team are now women, with 50 per cent of senior roles held by females.
“It is wonderful for COINS Australia to be acknowledged at such a respected industry event. The WiT Awards provide a positive platform for female leaders and organisations to represent women in technology and to inspire future generations of smart, innovative and successful individuals to achieve great things while challenging industry norms around equality and diversity.
“Change has to start somewhere and what we have achieved at COINS Australia is a great example of how women can be empowered and encouraged – we have an inclusive team, where women are supported by men and men are supported by women,” Ms Wall said.
Under Ms Wall’s leadership, COINS Australia is leading the charge to introduce innovative approaches to support and improve gender diversity across global COINS offices.
