Construction Solutions Upgrade is Just the Ticket for Novus Property Solutions
Novus Property Solutions , a leading UK property maintenance company, has upgraded its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions software to COINS Open Architecture (OA) as part of a wholesale change to its internal business approach.
Novus had been using an older version of COINS construction software interface, COINSplus, since 2003. In 2015, 18 months after Seddon Property Services had rebranded as Novus Property Solutions, the company sought to implement organisational change and improvements and specifically identified its material procure to pay process as in need of an overhaul.
After initial consultations with COINS, it was decided that upgrading to COINS OA construction solution would help Novus reach its aims of streamlining its procurement process by providing a one-tool solution for process management and control and using one source of information from an integrated database.
Over a six-month period, COINS supported Novus from initial project start up, through to design, configuration, and detailed training workshops.
The smooth transition to OA from the construction ERP has helped the company achieve a more integrated, transparent and intuitive procurement process. Since adopting the newer COINS OA interface, Novus now matches 57% of invoices upon entry compared to 7% prior to the shift, and the volume of invoices processed a year has risen from 8,000 to 12,000. The migration to COINS OA also enabled Novus to roll out a new purchase card initiative among staff.
