What does your job entail?
My role is to lead the COINS Australia business with the top priorities being customer service, team building and positioning the organisation for growth.
What is a typical day like?
A typical day starts with saying hello to members of the team. A decent cup of coffee helps with those must-do emails and priority tasks before the inevitable diary appointments kick-in. From there, almost anything can crop up from sales and customer activities, to project and delivery tasks, to commercial, business management and governance-related work.
What's a common question you get from customers?
Since I am new to COINS, most customers are interested in my background and what the plans are for COINS Australia in the future. There is a lot of interest in our service delivery capability and how customers can continue to increase the benefits they get from the COINS solution.
What do you like most about your job?
The opportunity for COINS construction industry-specific solutions in Australia is significant and very exciting. The COINS Australia team, the broader COINS team and our customers are a really nice group of people to work with. I am very much enjoying learning my new role and industry.
What do you see as the next trend/technology that will have the biggest impact on the construction sector?
There is an increasing focus on infrastructure development in Australia. In addition, public and private sector investors are looking for low-risk and cost-effective construction outcomes. COINS, with its market-leading solutions, is perfectly placed to help customers and prospects respond to these market dynamics. Our vision in Australia, is for COINS to be the provider of choice when it comes to high integrity value-adding market solutions.
What’s the most recent app you’ve downloaded?
As I am meeting a lot of people for the first time, my pile of business cards is growing. So, I downloaded Microsoft Office Lens which is an app that converts images into text.
