Mobile Apps Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of individuals who use COINS applications. This privacy policy sets out how COINS uses and protects any information that you provide when you use COINS Applications.
COINS is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using our applications, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We strive to collect and use personal information in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which we do business.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1 June 2016.
What and How we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Name, company and job title
- Contact information including email address
- Geographic information such as postcode, GPS co-ordinates
- Information relating to jobs/tasks assigned to you by your company which require you to complete and send related information back.
- Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or forms
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to fulfil the purpose of the applications which is primarily to complete jobs and tasks assigned to the Field Mobile Application users, and in particular for the following reasons:
- To streamline the process of completing jobs/tasks/checks that you were completing manually (paper based).
- To send back all data captured from the apps to the ERP systems for the users’ employer.
- Photos and Signatures are sent back to the Employers ERP System and not persisted anywhere in-between.
- Access to the app data is limited to the Individual users which the Company sets out to be roled users with access to the mobile apps.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unapproved access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information you provide on the applications.

All Apps
CAMERA - This permission is used to allow the user to take photos and attach them to the records they are working with. In addition in certain apps the camera is used to read barcodes.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Any Photos taken will be written to external storage.
INTERNET - Used to Fetch and Submit data.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used so the app is aware if it is currently able to Fetch and Submit data.
READ_PHONE_STATE - This is used to report back to the COINS Mobile Middleware, which devices are using the software.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - Location is used to display the users distance from the Job/Site/Visit.
In addition if configured the app may stamp the users current co-ordinates into any photos taken.
mFM
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
As well as the location functionality mentioned above - mFM also has the ability to track Operatives, if the customer is using Location-Based-Services.
