Jon Murrell / MANAGING DIRECTOR;CSACCELERATE
Jon Murrell has been working in Management Consulting since 2008, with a strong history of varied engagements in the construction sector. Now leading CSaccelerate (broad-based management consultancy) and CSobjective (ERP consultancy), Jon is bringing a refreshed approach to agile, high value consulting using the team’s experience to find practical, realistic solutions to business problems. Jon’s understanding of the construction lifecycle and of industry innovation and strategy brings considerable value to industry clients.
Stuart Binstock /PRESIDENT AND CEO – CONSTRUCTION FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
Stuart Binstock is President and CEO of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). He has extensive experience in management issues, including strategic planning, government affairs, educational programming and delivery, financial management, membership development, non-dues revenue growth, program development, and process improvements. Since Stuart became President and CEO of CFMA, the association’s membership has grown from 6,400 to over 8,800 today. He has served in executive positions for such trade and professional associations as the National Electrical Contractors Association, Associated General Contractors of America, and American Institute of Architects.
Katie Tamblin / CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER – ACHILLES INFORMATION LTD.
As Chief Product Officer, Katie Tamblin is a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Achilles and drives development and release of sustainable supply chain solutions. Her focus is on the transformation of Achilles data into actionable intelligence driving strategic decisions for procurement, compliance, and supply chain professionals. Katie has 15 years’+ experience supporting procurement clients with insights and analysis. Katie has been recognized as one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine’s Pros to Know (2015), and one of the top 100 people influencing EMS by VentureOutsource.com (2012). She has provided analysis and insights to Supply Management Magazine, In-procurement Magazine, SmartCEO, Purchasing Magazine, Procurement Espresso Magazine, Supply and Demand Chain Executive, and the Wall Street Journal.
Dr. Neha Gopinath / ASSOCIATE LECTURER IN MANAGEMENT - UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS
Dr Neha Gopinath joined the University of St Andrews in August 2019 as an Associate Lecturer in Management, following the completion of her PhD in Business Administration from Essex Business School, University of Essex. She has earned a MBA in Human Resource Management from University of Pune, India and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Mumbai, India. Neha's research primarily focuses on exploring entrepreneurship and workplace wellbeing. She is interested in understanding innovative people and organisational culture within entrepreneurial firms, and possible relationships with workplace wellbeing. She is also interested in the wellbeing and mental health of students in Higher Education.
Neil Pike / HEAD OF BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT – OVERBURY PLC
Neil has worked for Overbury for 17 years implementing change management and innovation across the fitout industry. Collaborative working, embracing technology and challenging the status quo are all key ingredients in Neil’s philosophy for innovation and productivity.Oliver Novakovic / TECHNICAL & INNOVATION DIRECTOR – BARRATT PLC GROUP
Oliver has worked on innovation in the construction sector with clients such as Audi, M&S, Sainsbury, British Gas and BASF for over 20 years. He has covered product development, application through to cultural change management. With Barratt his current role is to assess and roll out innovation across the business under their leading construction principle, this includes integrating offsite methods of construction and Zero Carbon. In his current role he has led a team that have assessed many of the different zero carbon systems and introduced a New Production Introduction process to Barratt. Oliver has been advising Central Government and HBF on how to develop a successful roadmap to deliver zero carbon solutions .
Nicola Barclay / HOUSING EXPERT
Until recently, Nicola was the Chief Executive of Homes for Scotland, the national membership organisation providing a voice for the new homes building industry in Scotland.
With a career spanning over 25 years in the home building industry, Nicola had responsibility for driving forward the housing agenda on behalf of 200+ member companies, who build the majority of homes across Scotland. Building and sustaining positive working relationships with politicians and senior civil servants; local authorities; and other external stakeholders was key to her role. She took a collaborative approach to removing barriers to achieving a wide range of positive policy outcomes through the delivery of more new homes and continues to be interested in supporting younger people to achieve their housing goals.
As well as sitting on the board of local Edinburgh charity Norton Park, she is the Chair for charity Habitat for Humanity GB, which delivers housing solutions for the most marginalised societies across the globe. She also sits on the Scottish Board of Women in Property and currently coaches a number of women in the sector.
Lee Chadwick / CEO – SPOTLER GROUP
Originally from Yorkshire, Lee is the CEO of Spotler Group and is all about squeezing the maximum out of any opportunity. He is responsible for all aspects of day to day operations, the vision for product strategy and market positioning while working closely with our private equity owners on strategic acquisitions.
He has years of experience and comes from a series of successful software companies in the Telecoms and Customer Service sectors with international roles developing new markets and building teams from multiple cultures and backgrounds. The most recent and relevant success was CommuniGator (now Spotler UK), originally a UK based ESP but successfully transforming into a Marketing Automation provider before being purchased in 2018 by CNBB and joining the Spotler Group.
Although not as often, he still likes ‘getting his hands dirty’ with client strategies to make sure our technology is producing the right outcomes. You might find him on the golf course. Or riding his bike. But ALWAYS on his emails.
The COINS Grand Challenge is an annual competition which aims to kickstart innovation in construction. This competition is open to anyone whose idea could improve construction safety, sustainability, efficiency or something else.
