2019 COINS User Conference Highlights

Many thanks to everybody who attended, exhibited and helped out in any way at the COINS User Conference 2019. Despite the torrential rain the conference was full of insights, collaboration, expert tips and useful information!
We’ve put together a short film featuring highlights of the conference.
And here are some of our attendees highlights:
I found Robert Brown (CEO, COINS) and Martin Coyd (Director Health, Safety & Wellbeing at Mace Construction) to be very influential. Both in the way they got message across and their enthusiasm for their chosen subject, whether it be mental health, which is an important issue in the industry at the moment, and Robert with his vast levels of experience.
Andrew Norris, Continuous Improvement Manager, Suir Engineering
There's been quite a few good sessions on COINS. I enjoyed some of the cost forecasting sessions but I think actually the most inspiring one was the ‘Crisis in the construction sector’ by Martin Coyd. It was a really good session, the way he came across was really good, telling us his story, and raising the issue of mental health awareness in the construction industry.
James Parker, Chief Commercial Officer,Cameron Homes
The best sessions for me have been the ones about COINS construction cloud. It has new functionality we aren’t using yet – so it's really good to see the future and where the product is going.
Euan Gregory, ICT Senior Developer, Mactaggart & Mickel
Exhibiting at this year's COINS User Conference has been really beneficial for UK Connect. We've been able to engage with some of our existing clients and also met lots of companies that we would never normally get to meet. So for us this event has been absolutely fantastic, really well organized and in such a great location.
P.J. Farr, Managing Director of UK Connect
It’s been really beneficial for us to have the opportunity to exhibit at the COINS conference. It's enabled us to get in contact with people in the construction industry – helping us to raise awareness of our charity and what we do, and also promote the Construction Industry app and helpline.
Sarah Bolton, Wellbeing Consultant, Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity
I always like looking at the Business Intelligence and reporting side of things. I think the new aspects of COINS relating to analytical data are really interesting and a good thing for construction software going forward.
Tristan Miller, Churchill Retirement PLC
One of the things that we would like to progress is the workflow - that will definitely come along this year. And secondly, would like to move forward with the Making Tax Digital (MTD) and compliance side. Another thing we thought was really useful was Martin Coyd’s session on mental health ‘Crisis within the construction industry’ – this is definitely something that we will take back and do something about it.
Sanya Sayyed, Finance Manager, Dorchester Living Limited
The COINS User Conference 2019 was the largest COINS conference to date. It was wonderful to see our clients, staff and exhibitors take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities to share information. Over the course of 2 days and more than 20 hours of activities, I saw everything from sharing tips about using COINS and speculation about the latest technology to affect the industry, to thoughtful discussions about mental health and lighthearted fun with Henley Information Services’ fundraising game for COINS Foundation.
Kimber England, COINS Group Communications Manager
The 2019 COINS User Conference was at The Lowry, Salford Quays, With over 350 delegates, this two day event focussed on ‘Building value through collaboration’.
