Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues across the globe, it is our aim to continue to strongly support our customers.
Each regional COINS office maintains a Business Continuity Plan to protect and maintain business continuity for both COINS and its customers in various scenarios. In the case of pandemics, dispersal, working at home and limiting travel are primary methods for:
- Limiting the potential for infection or spreading of the virus within the COINS workforce.
- Limiting the potential for infection or spreading of the virus to COINS customers.
- Reducing wider infection.
- Ensuring that sufficient staff are available to maintain the provision of COINS services.
The plan and specific actions will be invoked on an office-by-office basis according to advice and guidance from government agencies at the national and local level, as well as business requirements. Regular updates for our customers will be posted in the Client Area.
COINS staff have been briefed and provided with appropriate resources to fulfil their normal duties from home or other remote location.
Remote connection with customers and customer sites is still possible. All system monitoring continues as normal.
Support calls can still be logged in the normal way and will be managed from remote locations linking back into our systems.
COINS systems and services should therefore be available in the event of a wider outbreak of the virus.
Further updates from COINS will be made available here as the status changes.
Updated 12 May 2020:
COINS has very successfully shifted our global operations to remote working. As the nations and localities where we work begin to ease coronavirus containment and social distancing measures, we will follow a slow and very risk averse approach to any return to office working. Any plan will put the safety of all staff and their families at the forefront of what we do.
Until then, our current ‘work at home’ measures remain in effect.
