This year, MSCA introduced the first Technology Information sub-forum in which COINS was a contributor. COINS presented Building Information Modeling (BIM) basics and how mechanical service companies can begin to utilize this data today.
Highlights of the presentation emphasized entry level value points, explanation of various BIM framework connections, and a live demonstration of two BIM framework types in action. This included a situation where a BIM is strategically tied to COINS ERP facility management module - demonstrating the ability to collect information and manage work order tasks from both the model and ERP sides.
