R. H. White Companies, Inc. one of the largest contractors specializing in construction for utilities in New England as well as providing comprehensive services for manufacturing and industrial facility construction, has selected COINS and COINS OA as their partner and ERP software. The company is headquartered in Auburn, Massachusetts with offices in Charlton - MA, Bow - NH, and Cape Cod.
The R.H. White Companies have grown and expanded services over the last several years and the business required an improved ERP system with additional functionality to support the full range of operations and services that RHW delivers.
Jim McCarthy, COO had this to say on the decision to change systems: “Our current system had served us well for over 13 years, but we realized there has been a significant enough cost benefit jump in technology to warrant the replacement of the existing job cost and accounting software. We need a fully integrated information system which is scalable and will allow us to adapt to our future technology requirements”.
“Key business drivers included a need to standardize processes across the company, consolidate the number of systems being used, major enhancement of the project management process , provide automation in the area of HR and Equipment, and to have a web based system that would be easy to deploy and enable more timely field data capture”.
Gulshan Kumar, Director of IT for the company said: “The COINS OA product is well rounded with an extended footprint that covers all of our core business functions, and it will support field operations for the variety of services we deliver. The web based UI is easy to learn, which will enable faster user adoption – a key to any successful business system implementation. COINS has brought their “A” team to the table to ensure project success and we are very pleased with the consultants’ product and industry knowledge”
The R.H. White family of companies has a strong focus on the communities in which its customers, vendors, and employees live and work. The Companies participate in many non-profit and charitable efforts, providing funds, labor, equipment, and other resources for a wide range of local and national causes and outreach programs. This is something that COINS is also very involved in and the culture of the two companies was a big factor in RHW selecting COINS.
“It is important that we forge business alliances with companies that share our core values including integrity, organizational sustainability, and commitment to our family of people, customers and business partners.” says McCarthy. “COINS is a company that shares these values and, like us, aims to build lasting relationships.”
