Rated #24 in the Engineering-News Record (ENR) list of the Top 600 Specialty Contractors in the USA and with annual revenues in excess of $400m, Structural was looking for a system to meet their divergent business needs as they continue to grow. COINS OA was selected for its web-based, open architecture, ease of data extraction, and intuitive design.
With 17 companies, Structural, working with COINS, chose a phased approach to rollout the new system, starting with Pullman Power - a Structural subsidiary based in Kansas City, Missouri. Pullman went live January 1, 2012 on COINS OA running Financials, Job Cost, Subcontract ledger, Forecasting and Payroll. Three other GL companies went live April 1, 2012. The additional Structural companies will be rolled out over the course of the summer and fall.
Chrissy Prior, Senior Controller at Structural, spoke about some of the immediate benefits of the COINS OA platform. “COINS OA has allowed us to integrate much of the functionality that we were using other offline applications or spreadsheets to accomplish. We are able to provide more tools to our project managers for job management, forecasting and cost visibility. We are also excited about OA’s foreign currency capability which will allow us to integrate our foreign entities into the system.”
